Nel Noddings is Lee Jacks Professor of Child Education emerita at Stanford University. She received her BA from Montclair State College, her MA from Rutgers University, and her PhD from Stanford University. Noddings has received the Medal for Distinguished Service, Teachers College Columbia University, 1994; the Anne Roe Award for Contributions to the Professional Development of Women from Harvard University; the Willystine Goodsell Award from the American Educational Research Association; and six honorary doctorates.
