John B. Willett is the Charles William Eliot Professor of Education (Emeritus) at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. He was educated in England, at Oxford University, where he studied physics (specializing in quantum mechanics). He has Masters degrees in applied research methods from Hong Kong University, and in statistics from Stanford University. His doctorate is in applied statistical methods, again from Stanford University. His scholarly interests focus on applied longitudinal data analysis and on innovative methods for making causal inferences from social data.
