Robert J. Sternberg is Professor of Psychology at Cornell University and Honorary Professor of Psychology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Previously, he has been Provost of Oklahoma State University and Dean of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University. Before that, he was IBM Professor of Psychology and Education at Yale University. His PhD is from Stanford and he holds 13 honorary doctorates. He has won the Grawemeyer Award in Psychology and the James and Cattell Awards from the APS. His main interests are intelligence, creativity, and wisdom. He has been cited over 240,000 times, with a Google Scholar h index of 237. He is author of Adaptive Intelligence (Cambridge, 2021) and coauthor of Wisdom: The Psychology of Wise Thoughts, Words, and Deeds (Cambridge, 2022) and Giftedness in Childhood (Cambridge, 2023).
