NAEd President Gloria Ladson-Billings Elected to the Fellowship of the British Academy

Jul 23, 2021

Please join us in congratulating NAEd President Gloria Ladson-Billings on her election to the Fellowship of the British Academy as a Corresponding Fellow.

Every year, a limited number of new Fellows from across the disciplines of the humanities and social sciences are elected to the British Academy on the basis of their academic record. Only one or two scholars a year are elected in most fields, even though there may be several hundred scholars active in the field in question. The electoral process is therefore exacting and rigorous. Corresponding Fellows are scholars outside the UK who have “attained high international standing in any of the branches of study which it is the object of the Academy to promote”.

We congratulate President Ladson-Billings as well as the other scholars elected to the British Academy in 2021 on this tremendous honor.
