A Message of Support for Maui

Aug 17, 2023

The National Academy of Education extends its heartfelt condolences to all affected by the devastating wildfire on the island of Maui earlier this week. As a nation, we mourn the profound losses of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods and feel the weight of the personal and communal tragedies relayed through images and news stories. As Maui begins the process of rebuilding, we deeply recognize the cultural and historical impacts felt by the community. We trust in the spirit of Aloha and the expanding initiatives to assist residents, confident that this resilience and unity will guide everyone toward a renewed and lasting sense of community.
